How it works

Panic Attacks can last between 5 and 25 minutes and one attack can occur straight after another. Some people may have one or two attacks each month, while others may have several attacks in a week.

Panic attack is not a mental illness, it is the fear of fear based on a false fear. It occurs when the body experiences a charge of intense psychological and physical symptoms.

Symptoms of a panic attack

  • Racing heart
  • Feeling weak, faint, or dizzy
  • Tingling or numbness in the hands and fingers
  • Cold clammy hands
  • Feeling sweaty or having chills
  • Chest pain
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Feeling a loss of control
  • Shaking
  • Paleness
  • Dry mouth
  • Sense of terror, or impending doom or death

Panic attacks can be very frightening and intense, but they are not dangerous. A panic attack will not cause you any physical harm. It can be so intense that you can feel as if you were having a heart attack. However, it will not result in you having a heart attack.

Fear is a relatively easy treatment with hypnotherapy, once your fear identified and eliminated your panic attacks will disappear.
