Motivation is the process that initiates, guides and maintains goal-oriented behaviours.
Motivation is what causes humans and animals to act, whether it is looking for water or food to satisfy the needs of the body or doing something to gain knowledge or experience.
Motivation involves emotional, social, biological, and cognitive forces that activate our wish or impulse to act. Motivation is used to describe why a person does something.
For example, we can be motivated to do something because we what a reward, or we what the result of that action or we do it just for its own sake. Motivation may be rooted in a basic impulse to optimize well-being, minimize physical pain and maximize enjoyment.
About this programme
Motivation works like a muscle and as any other muscle in your body it needs to be used and trained to achieve the ideal performance. You will need motivation for almost everything in your life. The basic needs such as looking for food, shelter or sex are embedded in your body instinctive survival tool box. However, when you need to contradict that, for instance eat less or do something that creates fear or boredom you really need to increase your motivation by working on it. This is a long-term programme. You can choose your pace as when you go to the gym, the important is to practice regularly and I will help you being on your side as a personal trainer would do.
